The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) recently awarded Verizon Telematics in Washington, D.C. for its Continuous Smog Check Testing Program which was a finalist for the Environmental Excellence in Transportation (E2T) Award. The E2T Award recognizes a program which makes significant innovations in reducing the environmental impact caused by the transportation industry. The Continuous Smog Check Testing Program, which received the first runner-up prize, monitors vehicle emissions on a continuous basis, allowing for non-compliant vehicles to be detected early and therefore emit less harmful greenhouse gases. |
